INJECTORS
The ECU controls 4 injectors semi-sequentially. Injectors should be high impedance as found on almost all modern engines.
IGNITION COIL
The ECU can control either ‘single coil with distributor’ or 4cyl distributorless (DIS wasted spark) ignition. Click below to learn more and purchase the Omex ignition coil.
THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
Required on all engines. 0-5v sensor needed as found on almost all modern engines.
COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Required on all engines. Compatible with most 2 pin OE sensors. Click below to learn more and purchase the Omex sensor.
AIR SENSORS
Normally Aspirated, ITBs road or race, or single throttle race
Requires an air temperature sensor. Click below to learn more and purchase Omex sensor.
Normally Aspirated, single throttle road
Requires an air temperature sensor and a 1bar manifold pressure sensor. Click below to learn more and purchase Omex sensors.
Forced Induction
Requires an air temperature sensor and boosted pressure sensor. Click below to learn more and purchase Omex sensors.
CRANK POSITION SENSOR
All engines need a crank sensor and trigger pattern for engine speed and position readings
Later engines
(e.g. Zetec, Duratec) May already have a suitable 36-1 or 60-2 crank trigger.
Earlier engines
Need crank triggering adding:

Option 1 Purchase a universal trigger kit from Omex (requires machining to fit).

LAMBDA SENSOR
Optional
If you need to meet catalyst emission standards, you will nee a lambda sensor. If required, click below to learn more and purchase the Omex sensor.
IDLE AIR BYPASS VALVE
Optional - Forced induction or normally aspirated single throttle road engines
The ECU can control 2 / 3 wire solenoid valves or 4 wire stepper motors. Can also be used for turbo anti-lag.
VVT
Optional
2 stage cam control 1 or 2 wire solenoids.
BOOST CONTROLS
Forced Induction engines only - Optional
The ECU can control 2 wire solenoids.
